I love all of your Cecil/Rosa/Kain sketches. This one happens to be my favorite. I wish they'd show Kain's face in the game, but I'll settle for your rendition.

Cecil is such a loser. What about him. But another great pic, and another look at Kain. Awesome.

Hey, I'm just sayin'. I was always under the impression that the type of guy who would steal his best friend's girl away - if given half the chance - was the real loser.

Yes...even if he does set the stage for the dark, brooding, mopey, feels-sorry-for-himself "emo" persona in subsequent FFs (Vincent, Cloud, Squall, etc.). You know - the kind of character that so obviously reflects your own rotten personality.

You can call Cecil a loser all you want, he had the strength to conquer not only the darkness within himself (something Kain is unable to do), but the darkness that is Zemus.

I'll start this off with, I like both Kain and Cecil and am satisified with the game's ending and the sequel.

Now that I've said that. Kain and Cloud are NOTHING ALIKE. Cloud has love interests...multiple and yet he can't get over the past or himself long enough to actually persue one until...they're dead. Kain on the other hand had one girl he wanted and didn't get her and has grown to accept this. No he didn't get over the darkness in himself, instead he accepted it as part of him. Which in my opinion is greater than conquering. It takes a strong person to defeat the enemy but a stronger person to forgive them.

So Mr. Ego and Mr. Bigger Ego (Yes Chris you are bigger ego) Neither characters are losers. They are cool in their own ways...Cloud is a loser...I love him but he is.

The entire reason I started this...was this line- You know - the kind of character that so obviously reflects your own rotten personality.- Which was highly uncalled for. You don't attack someone's personally when discussing game characters. Chris has an ego, he's arrogant, he can be a jerk. On the other hand he accepts this. Is there any great darkness you need to conquer? Any personal reason you like Cecil? If so then I guess good, you both can relate to your characters. If not then you owe someone an apology.

BTW nice sketch, it's very well done and I love the detail.

Kain =/= Cloud. I have a very personal bias and whether or not you care to even acknowledge it is up to you. I have my reasons for preferring Kain over someone like Cecil.
